Albrecht Dürer’s Whale

Albrecht Dürer stared out into the sea in 1510 searching for something that was more than water. He was searching for a stranded whale, which he had heard about in Antwerpen, but there was nothing to be seen on the beach. To be continued. HP Comic. Drawing. Black and white.

Albrecht Dürer is still searching for the whale on a beach in Zeeland, but the sea has taken its great monster back. So the only thing Albrecht got out of the trip was a big mosquito bite, and thereby malaria. And so he was killed by the smallest animal while searching for the biggest. Turns out that the story was told by an old man to a young girl. The young girl says that she knows that Dürer's cause of dead was unknown, so the story was a lie. The old man answers: "Maybe I was just looking for something that was more than water." HP Comic. Drawing. Black and white.
