While we waited on relocating, I thought about San Francisco and made this drawing. I had never been to the city, so all I had to go on was Google Search.
Drawings about making the decision to move to San Francisco.
The story of our relocation to San Francisco begins …
About all the practical things that needed to be done when relocating to another country.
… before we could leave a lot of things had to happen and fall into place.
Then we said goodbye to all our friends, family, colleagues and Denmark. We departed while Copenhagen was being covered in snow.

Driving from the airport into Clayton Street in San Francisco. Enjoying the view, while drinking a nice rum. A drawing of the first sunset as seen by our porch.

About the joy felt when getting an apartment in San Francisco, going to buy art supplies at FLAX and reading Steinbeck's "Grapes of Wrath".
We were so happy when we got the apartment in 1000 Broadway. One thing less to think about. I went to FLAX to get art supplies so I could get to work on the poem collection I am handwriting/drawing for a friend. And I used some time reading Steinbeck’s “Grapes of Wrath” on our balcony.

On Wednesday we went to Drink & Draw at Flying Pig Bistro Pub, which was absolutely fantastic. Friday we visited Mikkeller, where I had the most amazing spontanmango. Sunday we went to look at the view from Twin Peaks and then for some relaxation for me and basketball for my husband in Duboce Park.

Moving into our new apartment on Russian Hill where we celebrated with champagne and dinner at the local tapas restaurant Zarzuela. The next morning we had Bahn Mi and Vietnamese coffee for breakfast. On Sunday we went back to our AirBnB to have a Super Bowl party for the first time.

While we had lunch at SOMA Streatfood (which is absolutely amazing place with great food trucks) they started Pro-Wrestling right next to us. Jervis Cottonbelly was my favorite wrestler. On Valentines Day we went for lunch at Fior d'Italia where we had some great food while an oldtimers jazz band played. We ordered almost everything we needed on Amazon. On Presidents Day we went out to explore our new hood and we found out that we have a really nice beach just down the street.

Went to draw at Dr. Sketchy on the 16th. It was Frank Frazetta Night and it was intense and truly inspiring. On the 20th, we held a house-warming and then took our guests to see the Chinese New Years Parade.

A weekend used on sightseeing and relaxation in our neighborhood on Russian Hill when we played basketball, visited Kerouac’s “love shack” and Ina Coolbrith Park. The right side is the view from one of our windows.
